Content here is for general information about our services. It is not security, legal or compliance advice and should not replace a formal engagement scoped to your circumstances.

Engagements are contract-based

All testing and advisory work is delivered under a separate written agreement defining scope, authorisation, timing, deliverables and fees. Nothing here is an offer capable of acceptance or a quotation. We only ever test systems a client is authorised to have tested and that are covered by a signed statement of work.

No guarantee of absolute security

Testing reduces risk; it cannot eliminate it. We do not guarantee that any system is completely secure or that a test finds every weakness. Our work reflects the agreed scope and the state of systems at the time of testing.

Acceptable use

You may not use this site to break the law, attempt unauthorised access, or disrupt the site. We do not provide instructions or tools for attacking systems you are not authorised to test.

Intellectual property

The design, text and graphics are owned by VillainStrike unless stated otherwise and may not be reused without permission. Reports produced during an engagement are governed by the engagement agreement.

Confidentiality

We treat client information and findings as confidential and expect the same regarding our methods. Specific obligations are set out in each engagement agreement.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss from use of this website. Liability for paid engagements is governed by the engagement agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and the courts of Lisbon have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights.
